Gobetti with Gorgonzola Sauce

  • 16 oz. Pasta Lensi Gobetti
  • 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup yellow onions, diced small
  • 3 Tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of white zinfandel
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup of imported Parmesan, grated
  • 1/2 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Serves: 4-6


Cook pasta according to directions. Drain.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet; add garlic, onions and the fresh herbs. Cook for 3 minutes. Add wine, cook 1 minute then add cream. Simmer 3-4 minutes or until the sauce is slightly thickened. Stir in cheeses and simmer until sauce lightly coats the back of the spoon. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Toss pasta with sauce until evenly coated and serve immediately. Mangiare bene.

*Optional — Top with cooked pancetta
