Gluten-Free Spaghetti with Peppers & Sausage

  • 12 oz. Heartland Gluten Free Spaghetti
  • 20 oz. sweet lean Italian turkey sausage links, cooked and sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 green bell peppers, diced
  • 2 (14.5 oz.) cans of Italian-style tomatoes, diced
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • 6 Tbsp Parmesan cheese, optional
  • Fresh basil leaves to garnish, optional

Cook Time: 00:20 (hr/min)

Serves: 6


  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Drain, cover and set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add onion and peppers; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and cooked sausage; bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 to 20 minutes or to desired consistency.
  7. Serve over hot pasta.
  8. Sprinkle with cheese and garnish with basil, if desired.
